Open Studio 2018
Open Studio 2018
Each year I open my work space for visitors during July as part of Cambridge Open Studio. Two weekends the public is invited to see behind the curtains and see were everything is made.
14/15, 21/22 July
11 am - 6 pm
I would like to invite you to my work space. You can see how the work is made, my tools and ask me questions.
Each year I make elder-flower cordial or “Hollersaft” as my grandmother would say. Its easy to make but its the flavour of summers growing up in Austria. Come and have a glass with me and talk about pots. ;-)
Ingredients
2½ kg white sugar, either granulated or caster
2 unwaxed lemons
20 fresh elderflower heads, stalks trimmed
85g citric acid (from chemists)
Garden Studio
The studio is located in our garden in Cherry Hinton. We build it in the summer of 2010 - a prefab that came on a massive pallet. It was more complex than an IKEA shelf but not by much. 10 days after arrival we had it up and running.
It contains 3 kilns two wheel a pug-mill a spray booth a workbench and many of shelf’s with glazes, materials and lots of tools.
